Wow! A great guitar solo! If ST franchise uses such soundtracks more often, they can count me in. I can even put up with Picard and his kind. Well, they can wear earplugs while the rest of the crew is having fun.

The first song sounds really epic and dramatic. The syncopated creepy industrial/gothic of the second one really fits Picard’s assimilation. Sometimes fans know best.

Are the magic flying carpets the last cry of superior Federation technology? I am still trying to connect Roy Orbison’s “Ooby Dooby” with ST and metal. The closest thing I can think of is Obi-Wan Kenobi but this is definitely not ST.

I have completely forgotten the songs featuring in “First Contact”. I was thinking only about the series, Vic Fontaine, Data’s performance.
Well, these guys in the video are playing some death metal and their “child’s uniforms” as Gowron put it do not fit the style. They would look much better in Klingon uniforms. Valhalla and Sto-vo-kor.

I did this together with the youngest of my sons. He loves Sabaton at morning.
And he likes Damar very much. Good Boy

There never was a war that was not inward, never a heart conquered from without. What is our innocence, where is our guilt? Where is the courage for the unanswered question that in misfortune, even in death, can defeat our mortality?

Now this is a coincidence, I was listening to Sabaton only few days ago while I was browsing for Cardassian related-stuff. I really like their sound, it is so Cardassian. The lyrics fit perfectly.
