Here is my personal top three:
1. Cardassian Galor
2. Imperial Destroyer
3. Imperial Executor-class Dreadnought
I wonder if the Empire would lend us several Destroyers.
I did not know that the Galors are currently classified as destroyers, I have always considered them medium cruisers.
Great article, indeed. I really liked the insight into the old-time navy and its extrapolation in current sci-fi.

Great article!
Hehehe, a basic Imperial-class Star Destroyer is already huge by Star Trek standards. And has a very thick hull. Slap it some more redundant shielding (specially around the bridge) and spiral-wave disruptors, as well as Galor-class disruptors (and some torpedo launchers) around it, but leave the Ion cannons intact (funny how SW uses lasers, yet, have Ion technology, which looks to be something really advanced for ST universe). Then it'd be a great Galaxy-class killer. Not even the Defiant would be able to do much.
A Executor-class Super Star Destroyer would be perfect to use as a mobile base of operations. Which was one of its uses in SW.
