What I like about this book is that Andrew Robinson without being a professional writer devoted so much effort to his character and developed so much Cardassian local color – flora, fauna, geographical notions, places, social practices. He was really into it.

I have at long last started to read the book a stitch in time all be it on a phone.

My wife put it on one of her mobile phones, some galaxy 6 or something.I dont have my own mobile, threw it in the river around ten years ago and never got one since despite repeated efforts by my family, work , friends etc to coerce me to get one.

had the first 10 "entries " read, and will continue the rest monday at work.
Enjoying it a lot too.

The Hebitians popped up as you might recall so had a look on memorty alpha.
Besides stitch of time the only other mention similar is the TNG episode "chain of command".

Think this might be my next logo to work on, something to do with the jevonite stone

Enjoy your reading, wonderful books! I wish I could download books on a tablet but it would too much of a technological feat for me.

to be honest thats true too.

Dont get me started on fucking phones.

First off it takes a course to find out how to make a call, if someone rings you you cannot see the buttons or keybad in the bright sunlight and you go around squinting like a released mental patient.

Then there is this culture of retarded mutants with selfies and couples who never speak to each other cos their whole shallow lives are done on the phone.

Zombies parading about like automotrons.

I fully agree with you on that. Technology is to serve people not to debilitate them and to deprive them from real emotions. People use it as a substitute for real experiences, which is kind of sad. I used to be the last generation having a childhood and teenage years – running, playing, climbing trees, riding horses, doing forbidden things, taking risks, meeting different people, having adventures, getting into trouble. Nowadays they just sit on a bench and push the buttons, it is so boring.
